The Challenge

The Oversight Board was established as an independent body to make binding decisions on content moderation for Meta platforms. The challenge was to develop a brand identity that conveys independence, trust, and authority while maintaining a visual connection to the Meta ecosystem it oversees.

The Approach

We crafted a distinct visual language that stands apart from Meta's brand through its own color palette and typography, while using geometric forms that echo digital connectivity. The identity needed to feel judicial and trustworthy without being cold or bureaucratic—approachable yet authoritative.

The Outcome

Successfully launched a globally recognized identity that reinforces the Board's independence and credibility. The brand system has been deployed across the Board's website, reports, and communications, helping establish it as a legitimate and trusted institution in the global conversation about content moderation.
