The Challenge

The Honda Certified Pre-Owned experience had fallen behind the primary Honda Autos site—offering insufficient content flexibility for both education and sales promotion. Increased personalization was a primary goal in addition to content and UX improvement.

The Approach

I delivered a cohesive update by aligning with key areas of the new Honda Autos site—primarily navigation. We retooled navigation with flexibility in mind. The redesign dedicated the upper section to a new search inventory component, with personalized recommendations from the customer's local area below. Competing sales events, offers, and education were each given structured real estate and hierarchy to appear simultaneously. To aid our clients in the future, I established authoring guidelines to resolve content update challenges.

The Outcome

With tighter budgets, our CPO clients needed to spend wisely. With focus and efficiency, our lean team intelligently utilized available patterns that extended the client's budget and transformed the page, surpassing expectations. Honda and Acura CPO homepages launched successfully with improved personalization and content flexibility.
