The Challenge

Honda Autos, Acura and their respective certified pre-owned sites operated without the benefit of a single integrated CMS. Years of technical isolation had generated an inconsistent UX, slowed the pace of site innovation, and locked up budgets due to high operational costs.

The Approach

To unify two brands and four sites into one Sitecore instance, Honda and VML launched a multi-year effort to integrate every page, component, and tool across the Honda and Acura ecosystem. We led business units through a strategic UI selection process and enhanced each building block for greater flexibility, accessibility, and operational efficiency. The result is a singular AHM Design System that unites the ecosystem for the first time—and sets up the framework for future experience innovation.

The Outcome

Delivered one integrated AHM Design System with 45 enterprise multi-brand tools and components. Tighter controls in our design system yielded a 75% drop in traditional vehicle image requirements, a massive efficiency gain that transformed how both brands operate digitally.
